Everton prospect Ademola Lookman continued his excellent form for RB Leipzig in the Bundesliga on Saturday, scoring once and assisting twice as the Germans thrashed Hertha Berlin 6-2.
Lookman barely had any opportunities at the Toffees this term, making just one Premier League start before moving on loan to Germany in January.
With five goals and three assists in 11 appearances for the German top-flight club though, fans have been left increasingly confused as to why Sam Allardyce didn’t play him more.
His performance on Saturday was another reminder for supporters that he could be exactly what they are missing in attack, with their performances crying out for a bit of pace and dynamism in the final third.
Would Lookman have been a better option than the faltering Yannick Bolasie? Or is the fact he is thriving on loan simply a positive for Everton and shouldn’t be used as a criticism of Allardyce?
