That is according to the , who report that Guardiola is ready to agree a one-year extension to his deal at the Etihad Stadium. His current contract is due to expire in the summer of 2025, but a further 12 months may be spent in Manchester after that.

If Guardiola were to put pen to paper, before honouring said deal, then he would complete a decade of service with City. That is said to be a target for the Catalan coach, who only spent four years with Barcelona at the start of his coaching career, and three at German giants Bayern Munich.
