Leeds United have enjoyed a thrilling start to the Championship season under Marcelo Bielsa and it seems the success of the first-team have transferred to the youth ranks of the Yorkshire giants.
During the international break, the Peacocks’ U18 side caught the eye with a superb victory over their Watford counterparts and hit five past the Hornets, sealing a 5-1 win and attracting plaudits on social media.
Braces from Henri Kumwenda and Nohan Kenneh accompanied a strike from Niall Huggins to hand Leeds a comfortable victory and raised excitement amongst supporters for the futures of the teenage stars, who many believe can become assets for the first-team.
The performance of Kenneh, just 15, was certainly inspiring and the goals scored by 17-year-old Huggins and Kumwenda was equally impressive – but it was the overall performance of the side that attracted responses on social media.
We have gathered some of the best reactions to the U18’s emphatic victory below.
