According to The Sun, Jurgen Locadia is desperate to force a Brighton exit in January due to his current lack of game time at the Amex Stadium.
What’s the word?
Since his £14m January switch to the Premier League club from PSV, the 25-year-old striker has made only 11 league appearances for the Seagulls, scoring one goal to date and starting just a single game of the new campaign so far.
With Glenn Murray in fine form and keeping the Dutch forward out of the team, Locadia has decided that the time has come to seek pastures new.

A loan switch in January may be the best option for Brighton and Locadia, and Aston Villa would be wise to express interest in taking on the out-of-favour attacker for the remainder of the season.
Added firepower
Whilst Tammy Abraham is currently in good form, the Villans could do with extra depth and competition for the Chelsea loanee. With Jonathan Kodjia currently being deployed out wide by Dean Smith and Scott Hogan short of the required quality, Villa need extra firepower arriving in January if they’re to launch a push for the play-off places.
Locadia’s Eredivisie record, which saw him register nine goals in 15 outings in his final half-a-season with PSV, suggests that he has the quality to have an impact in England. A spell at Villa Park could give him a chance to prove his worth.
What do you think, Villa fans – should Locadia be on your January shopping list?
