Finding a new striker remains a top priority for the club and reports they have reignited interest in Paris Saint-Germain forward Randal Kolo Muani and Crystal Palace's Jean-Philippe Mateta. France international Kolo Muani struggled at the French side before he was loaned to Juventus halfway through the 2024-25 campaign, and it is claimed he could be available for £35 million ($47m). Mateta, meanwhile, has been linked with a move to Old Trafford for some time, but their lack of Champions League football may damage their hopes of signing him.

United are also considering a move for Brentford star Bryan Mbeumo, another report states, though his price tag of £60m ($81m) could turn them away due to budget constraints after they missed out on a place in next season's Champions League.
