Leah Galton opened the scoring for United in the seventh minute before Maya Le Tissier doubled the team's tally on the stroke of half-time. Toone then scored with a header from a close range in the 91st minute to seal a 3-1 win for her team over Sunderland in the Women's FA Cup quarter-finals on Saturday.

Toone has enjoyed a stellar run of form in the 2024-25 campaign, having already scored seven goals in 15 appearances across all competitions, including four in the Women's Super League. The England star has played a crucial role in keeping the Red Devils active in the WSL title race, alongside league leaders and reigning champions Chelsea and Arsenal.
