West Ham fans are delighted for the youngsters following this result, as it keeps them one point ahead of Manchester United at the top of the table.
This team have consistently come through with results this season, while the first-team have faltered at times, with the most obvious example of that being the eight-game winless run.
That consistency has led to one fan referring to the group as “the pride of West Ham United”.
This has led to demands for Manuel Pellegrini to start giving more youngsters first-team opportunities this campaign.
The two most popular choices for this seem to be Nathan Holland and Anthony Scully, who won PL2 Player of the Month for November and September respectively.
Did he really play for us?! No West Ham fan has managed to name all of these obscure Irons signings….
Holland has already made his initial strides into the first-team in the league, getting 31 minutes across two substitute appearances against Wolverhampton Wanderers and Arsenal.
This comes with the winger having scored 11 goals and claimed six assists in 12 PL2 games, while Scully has 14 goals and five assists from 13 games across PL2 and the EFL Trophy.
